McCoy’s is proud to offer an Active Duty and Retired Veterans 10% Military Discount to qualified recipients year round. Twice a year, on Memorial Day and Veterans’ Day, we offer an Extended Military Discount to all veterans regardless of their length of service. Both discounts have a maximum limit of $500 per transaction as well as a daily discount limit of $500. McCoy’s Building Supply supports the men and women who selflessly serve our country in the Armed Services and honors Retired Veterans and VA Recipients. 

To qualify for this discount, you must meet the following criteria and present your current valid military ID card at the time of purchase:

1. Active or Reserve Status of a branch of the Armed Services (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, or National Guard).
2. Armed Services Retirees with over 20 years of service and/or Department of Veterans Affairs recipients.
3. Immediate Family Members (spouse or dependent child) with a valid military ID card.

Acceptable Forms of ID for Active Duty and Retired Veterans Discount Include:

• Uniformed Services ID Card
• Common Access Card (CAC)
• Veteran’s Identification Card (VIC)
• Veteran’s Health Identification Card (VHIC) with Enhanced Eligibility Status which would be designated underneath the photo ID. For example:
  • SERVICE-CONNECTED
  • VA HEALTHCARE ENROLLEE
  • FORMER POW
  • PURPLE HEART
  • MEDAL OF HONOR
• DD-214 that states one or both of these:
  • You are an Armed Services retiree with over 20 years of service
  • You are a Department of Veterans Affairs recipient/Disabled Vet

Our 10% Military Discount will be extended to ALL VETERANS (regardless of length of service) during two holidays each year - Memorial Day and Veteran’s Day. Customers must provide a valid proof of service to receive the discount.

Acceptable Forms of ID for Active Duty and Veterans Discount Include:

• Driver’s License with veteran’s designation
• Any other valid proof of service

• Customer must qualify based on acceptable forms of ID and type of discount
• Accurate customer contact information must be entered in our point-of-sale system
• Cannot be used on previous purchases
• Must be used on personal consumer purchases only for regularly priced retail items
• Cannot be combined with contractor pricing, bid pricing, promotional discounts, special orders or coupons
• Cannot be combined with employee discount pricing
• Customers who qualify for an Agricultural Sales and Use Tax Exemption (on qualified purchases) may also qualify for the military discount
• Customers who are contractors or who qualify for any other type of sales tax exemption, including re-sale, government, non-profit, or church identifies the customer as a business and excludes them from eligibility for the military discount
• Cannot be used on the purchase of gift cards
• Limit $500 in discounts per customer per day
